This piece falls under the section of a relief called "Styrogami." This is a kind of art that uses styrofoam. I learned a few things from this project. I learned that styrofoam is a material that you can't saw through, but you have to continuously cut lines into. I also learned that this material can be messy and little bits of the styrofoam will come out. This styrofoam Olaf is a piece that I think was successful, because even though it is simple, it shows the basics of styrofoam relief. The relief is shown in the eyes and mouth. Even though I did think this piece was a success, if given another chance I would try to think of ways to put more detail and relief in this piece.
